The Disgusting Truth...

Updated: Dec 15, 2023
The abuse that Jeff and Shaleia promote through Twin Flames Universe is multifaceted. I’m sure that both Erin and I will touch on different aspects as we continue posting. However, one of the more horrifying areas in the different documentaries I have watched is how casually Jeff speaks about sexual assault and manipulation. Actually, there were several times during my watching that I physically felt repulsed by the abuse and statements he perpetuated.
Because, this is an extremely sensitive subject I felt it better being approached by Erin. Her framework and perspective, given her career and education, is certainly something that can add a measure of gentleness to such a painful area of conversation. Her factual way of explaining such abuse truly gives you multiple things to think about.

Consent and Coercion: Understanding the Intersection of Sex, Gender Identity, and Power Dynamics in TFU
Twin Flames Universe (TFU) is founded and lead by Jeff and Shaleia Ayan, who claim to have a direct connected to God. Purportedly, they use this connection to do a wide number of things these days, including create a meal prep service for embodying your divine essence, teach members to connect with the most stubbornly unwilling Twin Flame, head a church organization based on their principles, prophesize and commune with their baby (even before she was born), and amass a considerable amount of wealth.
Most notorious though, they use this “God given communication” to match their 40,000 members with their “eternal partner” with whom, among other things, they will “enjoy mind blowing sex”. They claim sex with your Twin Flame is “richer than just physical pleasure”, it is a “sacred act of ascension”.
But the documentary, “Desperately Seeking Soulmate: Twin Flames Universe” demonstrates that the TFU organization uses cult-like behavior and showcases claims that the couple have even encouraged members to change their gender in their attempt to find divine love.
Jeff Ayan, who has previously referred to himself as ‘Father Christ’ and Shaleia as ‘Mother Christ’, works with a carefully selected team of coaches (those who have paid the most money to them), to help guide their members towards their twin flame. Most of the time Jeff and Shaleia claim their members’ twin flame are fellow members of the community, mainly because they couldn’t produce their guaranteed results of union when they couldn’t exert control over both parties.
Their member population, however, is 95 percent women. Jeff and Shaleia have claimed previously that divine union matches are always between one “divine masculine” and one “divine feminine”, posing what would seem to be a serious problem. Jeff and Shaleia, in the ultimate bait and switch, simply explain that their close connection with God means they can confirm a person’s true “divine gender”, even if it’s not the one that they identify with.
They have rectified this issue using coercion and abuse, telling one former couple, “Change Anne’s name immediately. It’s time. He’s a guy.” When meeting resistance they began threatening the couples livelihood, which was entirely entrenched in TFU. “Take a guys name and put a guys pronoun, or I will need to put someone else in change of sales who does respect my work. Thank you. One week”, Jeff texted the couple. He continued, “Not sure why you and your man have not decided to handle the gender identity issues. There is literally no logical reason not to do so immediately.” In further texts he fumed: “You guys look dumb as fuck hiding behind the lie still. Because you haven’t changed your name yet, everyone either thinks you’re weak, unable to change, or in stark disagreement with me.”
Jeff has said: “A cult is (an) organization of abuse that systematically takes from and harms its members to enrich its founder. We created an organization of love and harmony which heals and enriches everyone in it and everyone who is connected to anyone in it.”
Jeff Ayan (who once went by the name Ender Ayanethos) is a former business student, self-described “lifestyle design entrepreneur,” and former “babe-hunter”, in his own account. In the photo below this post, he is describing masculine energy.
The Netflix documentary also shows that women in TFU were instructed to do a Mirror Exercise on themselves when they didn’t want to have sex with their male twin flames. The Mirror Exercise essentially is used for one to figure out what they are doing “wrong” in any given situation and why it is their “fault”.
What is really troubling is not even Jeff’s own abusive and controlling behavior toward Shaleia (their relationship is disturbing), but the larger implications of his views. What is most abrasive is how easily gender essentialism and relationships are molded in TFU to become a source of individual power for men.
Sex, in fact, Jeff Ayan says, is an ascension tool that can also “heal your blocks.” According to him, men need to have sex frequently and women have to satisfy their man at all times and as he sees suitable. In one clip in the documentary, Jeff discusses violating Shaleia, and mocks her attempts to say no to his sexual demands. The message is loud and clear, “Have sex with him when he wants (male sexual entitlement) if you want true feminine spiritual awakening.”
“Discipline is a gateway to freedom and power,” Jeff says to a silent Shaleia at the close of this thought.
A closing anecdote:
The first thing that comes to mind for me in seeing Jeff’s gift of penis analogy was a shirt. More specifically, the most gaudy, uncomfortable, itchy, scratchy, awful shirt I have ever owned…or had been gifted to be more precise. My maternal grandmother, whom I only saw a small handful of times throughout the year, enthusiastically gifted me that shirt on my birthday one year. I immediately hated it. It was ugly. “Try it on” she coaxed me, and because I loved her I felt I had to because it was the proper thing to do. And because I felt I had to, I did, even though I didn’t want to. It was immediately itchy and made my skin irritated. It was uncomfortable. I was extraordinarily uncomfortable. I hated it even more. But, because it was a gift, I continued putting it on. Expectation and a sense of responsibility, or duty, dictated that every single time I saw my grandmother, I would wear that uncomfortable shirt. Duty can be a terrible thing. I dreaded that shirt. In turn, I dreaded going to my grandmothers, even though I loved her.
An unwanted gift can ripple into so many unwanted feelings. It can taint once pure things, especially if you don’t feel comfortable or confident that you may decline that gift. That gifted shirt tainted so many subsequent experiences for me, and it was just a shirt. A simple piece of fabric. Imagine if the “gift” was an unwanted sexual encounter. Imagine if Jeff Ayan had infiltrated your mind, your thoughts, your ability to set boundaries. Imagine if you had been manipulated and exploited enough that you genuinely believed that this was your “duty” to receive that gift of sex. Imagine if you had to wear it upon every pertinent occasion, exposing the most vulnerable parts of your entire being to perpetual and systematic discomfort. This is not consent, this is coercion. This is Twin Flames Universe. This is Jeff and Shaleia Ayan.
This is disgusting.
This is NOT right.
